  • Age Concern Age Concern is the UK's largest organisation working with and for older people.
  • Anthony Nolan Trust Founded in 1974 as the first Register of volunteers willing to donate bone marrow in circumstances where a match cannot be found within a patient’s family, The Anthony Nolan Trust now holds one of the largest databases of unrelated donors in the world.
  • British Gas Energy Trust It is an independent Charitable Trust established in September 2004 which aims to contribute to the fight against poverty. It incorporates the Scottish Gas Energy Trust as well. Any current domestic customer of British Gas can apply for help.
  • British Heart Foundation The BHF campaigns to raise awareness of heart disease, funding projects hoping to find better ways to treat or prevent it.
  • Cancer Research UK Cancer Research UK is the largest volunteer-supported cancer research organisation in the world, aiming to eradicate the threat of cancer through scientific research.
  • CCCS The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is a registered charity whose purpose is to assist people who are in financial difficulty by providing free, independent, impartial and realistic advice.
  • Children In Need The Children in Need Appeal was first televised in 1980. It raises money to help underprivileged children in the UK.
  • Comic Relief It stages a Red Nose Day fundraising event once every two years. It's committed to projects to ease suffering both in the Third World and in the UK.
  • Community Re>paint Community Re>Paint is a network of paint reuse schemes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The purpose of the scheme is to collect leftover reusable paint from householders, and redistribute it to those who need paint but cannot afford it.
  • Contact the Elderly Contact the Elderly groups organise gatherings for frail, elderly people who live alone. One Sunday afternoon a month, volunteer drivers take elderly people on regular visits to hosts’ homes.
  • Credit Action Credit Action is a national money education charity established in 1994. They are committed to helping people manage their money better, and aim to help people stay in control, rather than let money control them and disrupt their lives through over indebtedness.
  • Cruse Bereavement Care Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.
  • Cystic Fibrosis Trust The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds medical and scientific research aimed towards understanding, treating and curing Cystic Fibrosis. It also aims to ensure that people with CF receive the best possible care and support in all aspects of their lives.
  • Dogs Trust The Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of destruction.
  • EDF Energy Trust The Trust's aim is to help people take control of their finances by reducing the burden of their debts and helping them meet their future bills. They hope that the awarding of grants and the provision of money advice and energy efficiency advice will enable people to make a fresh start.
  • Elizabeth Finn Care Elizabeth Finn Care helps people in need whose former careers have been interrupted or ended through physical or mental problems, loss of work and family breakdown or those struggling on low income in retirement. We can help the person who applies to us and their spouse and children.
  • Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Their mission is to provide guide dogs, mobility, and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of blind and visually impaired people.
  • Holidays with Help Holidays with Help was formed by a group of British Red Cross Society Members with over thirty years experience of organising holidays for large groups of people with disabilities.
  • Jeans for Genes The annual denim fundraiser is traditionally staged on the first Friday of October. It raises money to help a number of charities conduct research into treating and preventing genetic disorders affecting children.
  • Macmillan Cancer Support A UK charity that works to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer.
  • Marie Curie Cancer Care Is dedicated to the care of people affected by cancer and the enhancement of their quality of life through its caring services, research and education.
  • MS Society The MS Society is the UK's largest charity for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) - about 85,000 people in the UK.
  • NSPCC The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children.
  • PDSA Britain's leading veterinary charity, carrying out more than one million free veterinary consultations a year.
  • Royal British Legion The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading charity safeguarding the welfare, interests and memory of those who have served in the Armed Forces and their dependants.
  • Royal National Institute for the Blind Britain’s leading charity dealing with vision impairment, fighting for equal rights for people with sight problems, and funding research into preventing and treating eye disease.
  • Save the Children The UK's leading international children's charity, working to create a better future for children. It is active in the UK, as well as around 70 countries worldwide.
  • Scope They campaign for disabled people’s rights, providing housing, information and advice, education, and other kinds of support to enable people with cerebral palsy to live the life they choose.
  • Spinal Injuries Association The national organisation of spinal cord injured people, representing all their interests regardless of how the impairment occurred, whether or not it has resulted in full or partial paralysis.
  • SSAFA Forces Help The national charity helping serving and ex-Service men, women and their families, including widows and widowers in need. Eligibility for our help is one day's paid service in any of HM forces and National Service.
  • St. John's Ambulance St. John's Ambulance is the UK's leading First Aid, transport and Care charity. Its mission is to provide First Aid and medical support services, caring services in support of community needs and education, training and personal development to young people.
  • The Stroke Association The Stroke Association funds research into the prevention of stroke, its treatment, and into better methods of rehabilitation.
  • The Way Foundation The WAY Foundation provides a self-help social and support network for men and women widowed up to the age of 50, and their children. The main aim is to help those widowed young to rebuild their lives by helping one another.
  • Veterans Aid The leading charity for homelessness among veterans in the UK, Veterans Aid exists to help ex-servicemen and women if they are homeless or are likely to become homeless.
