Freephone Service
Peter, a prematurely retired Civil Servant, telephoned the Freephone. He had been a wheelchair user since contracting MS in 1987.
Due to his worsening condition, he now found himself unable to propel his wheelchair and asked us to help.
With advice from the Mobility Bureau’s Occupational Therapist we found an electric wheelchair suitable for his needs, and made a grant of £1,500 to the Mobility Bureau to supply the chair. Peter is now independent for the foreseeable future.

Our confidential Freephone service is open every working day during working hours. Outside of these hours, a voice mail message can be left and we will get back to you the next working day.
Our staff will give you basic advice and information on a range of subjects, from where to find local community support and practical help, to helping you apply for financial assistance.
