Health On Your Mind
We are delighted to announce an innovative joint initiative from the Department of Health and the charity for civil servants, the Civil Service Benevolent Fund.

A welcome message from Una O'Brien and Sir Stephen Laws:
Health on your Mind aims to build on the Government’s mental health strategy “No health without mental health” by raising awareness of mental health issues in the workplace across the Civil Service.
It highlights help available to staff who may be affected by mental health issues and to managers in supporting them. It aims to lessen the stigma that still surrounds mental illness.
It brings together a coalition of organisations, including the major mental health charities, all of whom are able to provide services and support to those in need. It is underpinned by CSBF’s ability to provide financial support if appropriate.
By using the Civil Service’s own charity as a channel, we hope that staff will be encouraged to seek help from a wide range of sources from different sectors. Details of what is available can be found on this web channel. We hope that staff and managers will welcome and use this opportunity to recognise the importance of supporting good mental health in the workplace.
