Managers Get Briefed On Fund Importance

The Fund is a vital resource for you – that’s the message we’re sending out to managers with the launch of our new Managers Briefing.

Available both in print and online, the briefing shows just how the Fund acts as an important support mechanism for managers within the workplace.

It’s not just aimed at demonstrating why the Fund is an essential provider of welfare services for current and former civil servants. The briefing also shows how the Fund can help staff development, and tie-in with already existing volunteering agendas within the office.

And it also reminds senior staff that our team of experienced Area Development Managers are available to speak to staff in workplaces about our help and advisory service.

Launched at Civil Service Live, the briefing has already had a very favourable response, and shows the backing your in-house charity receives from the very highest levels of the civil service:

“The Civil Service Benevolent Fund helps thousands of current or former civil servants and their dependants every year,” says Fund President Sir Gus O’Donnell, “who may be struggling, suffering hardship or in need, by providing support, advice and financial assistance.

“Its work supports the management of sickness/absence and is an important part of the wellbeing agenda.”

The print version of the Managers Briefing is available to download here.
