In addition, the overall winner of the Civil Service Diversity and Equality Awards will be announced, before the presentation of the Cabinet Secretary’s Award, a “winner of winners” for 2011.
Fund President Sir Gus O’Donnell is giving his backing to the awards again this year, in his role as Cabinet Secretary.
He says, “The awards showcase good practice in innovation and improvement and they celebrate excellence in public service. They are my way of acknowledging success and saying thank you to civil servants who have really made a difference to people’s lives.
“I encourage anyone who has a project or initiative, which they are particularly proud of, to put a nomination in for this year’s awards. These are challenging times for us all which makes it even more important that we continue to recognise the good work we do and celebrate our achievements. I look forward to seeing your entries.”
Nominations for the Awards can be made by visiting the Civil Service Awards website.
The closing date for entries is 29 July. Good Luck!
