Sir Gus O'Donnell Announces Retirement

Everyone at the Civil Service Benevolent Fund is sad to learn of Sir Gus O’Donnell’s retirement at the end of the year. As Head of the Home Civil Service, Sir Gus has been the Fund’s President since 2005, and in that time has made an invaluable contribution to our work.

Sir Gus O'Donnell announced his retirement from the Civil Service on 11 OctoberChief Executive Merrick Willis says, “Sir Gus has been a tremendous advocate of the Fund’s work as the Civil Service’s own charity, and has volunteered his time to raise both money and our profile on numerous occasions.

“He has been an outstanding Fund President and it has been a real pleasure working with him.

“On behalf of everyone at the Fund, we would like to wish Sir Gus the very best wishes for the future.”
