Women In Whitehall Face The Future
To celebrate the centenary of International Women’s Day, this year’s event, to be held on 8 March, will focus on the role of women in Whitehall and issues facing women as the Civil Service downsizes.
Speakers include Sir Gus O'Donnell, Cabinet Secretary and Fund President, Dame Helen Ghosh, Permanent Secretary at the Home Office and Lin Homer, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Transport.
Sheila Fitzgerald, the Fund’s Regional Services Co-ordinator for Northern Ireland will run two workshops on 'Managing Personal Finances'.

The workshops will cover the essential elements of money management and should give delegates a more thorough understanding of how money can be managed in a household and covers four key areas:
- Managing money and budgeting
- Planning ahead through savings, insurance and wills
- Making choices in key areas
- Getting help that suits your needs
Although not a financial planning session, it should help delegates determine if they may need further advice or assistance.
There will also be another opportunity to see the exhibition ‘A Celebration of Women in the Civil Service’, first shown at CS Live in July 2010.
